Terms of Service

Dearly is a curated handwritten-letter membership for adults. We thoughtfully pair members for meaningful correspondence and forward letters between them, so no member ever has to share a home address. Membership is offered on a recurring monthly basis at the rate shown when you join.

Matching is a human, curated process. We do not promise a match within any particular timeframe, and the pace of correspondence depends in part on the person on the other end of your letters.

You must be 18 or older to become a member. By joining, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Membership is billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis to the payment method you provide. Your membership renews automatically each month unless you cancel before the next billing date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the then-current membership rate on each renewal.

You may cancel at any time, and there is never a cancellation fee. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period: you keep full use of your membership until then, and no further recurring charges will be made. To cancel, write to us at connect@dearlyconnect.com and we will take care of it personally.

Monthly membership payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, and cancelling stops future recurring charges rather than providing a prorated refund for the current period. That said, we are reasonable people: duplicate charges, billing errors, and genuinely exceptional circumstances are things we will review individually and make right at our discretion.

New members receive a physical Welcome Kit by mail. Once a Welcome Kit has shipped, it is yours — it does not need to be returned, whether or not you later cancel. If you cancel before your kit has shipped, we will stop fulfillment where reasonably possible.

The information you share with Dearly — your application, profile details, and mailing address — is used as described in our Privacy Policy. Your address is never shared with other members; letters travel through Dearly's forwarding process.

Dearly works because members write in good faith. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or send unwanted or inappropriate content to another member.
• Use membership to solicit, advertise, or collect other members' information.
• Misrepresent who you are or why you are here.
• Attempt to learn another member's address or identity without their consent.
• Use Dearly for anything unlawful.

If a member's conduct falls short of this, we may suspend or end their membership. Trust is the whole product.

The Dearly name, this site, and the content we create are the property of Dearly and may not be reproduced without permission. The letters you write remain yours; the letters you receive were written for you.

Dearly provides a curated correspondence membership, but we cannot guarantee any particular relationship, outcome, or timeline, and we are not responsible for the content of letters members write to one another. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dearly's liability for any claim arising from your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be brought in the courts located in Florida. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights or other rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.

If we update these terms, we will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify members by email before they take effect. Continuing your membership after a change means you accept the updated terms.
