Terms of Service

Dearly Membership is a handwritten-correspondence membership for adults, billed on a recurring monthly basis. It includes a compatibility profile, thoughtful matching curated by our team, one active correspondence at a time, and Dearly's private forwarding service so members never share home addresses. It begins with the Dearly Welcome Kit, which counts as the member's first month of materials.

Each month, membership includes exclusive Dearly stationery sufficient for four letters, four coordinating envelopes, four U.S. Forever Stamps, four thoughtful prompts, and a small Dearly correspondence card.

Matching is a human, curated process. We do not guarantee any particular match, and we do not promise a match within any particular timeframe. Any timing we mention is an operational estimate, not a commitment.

You must be 18 or older to become a member. By joining, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Membership is billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis to the payment method you provide, and renews automatically each month unless you cancel before the next billing date. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor; Dearly does not store your full card details.

Dearly Membership is offered privately to Founding Members at $39 per month through September 22, 2026 (America/New_York). A Founding Member keeps that $39 per month rate for as long as the membership remains continuously active — later price changes do not apply to that subscription, and we do not migrate it. If a Founding membership lapses or is cancelled, rejoining is at the rate then in effect.

Beginning September 23, 2026 (America/New_York), public enrollment opens and Dearly Membership is $49.99 per month.

By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the rate shown for your membership when you subscribed, on each renewal, until you cancel. If we ever propose to change the rate that applies to your existing subscription, we will notify you by email before it takes effect. Applicable taxes, where they apply, may be added at checkout.

You may cancel at any time, and there is never a cancellation fee. Members manage and cancel their own subscription through our secure billing portal, reached from your billing settings on this site. If you cannot reach the portal or have trouble with your account, write to us at connect@dearlyconnect.com and we will take care of it personally.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period: you keep full use of your membership until then, and no further recurring charges will be made.

Monthly membership payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, and cancelling stops future recurring charges rather than providing a prorated refund for the current period. That said, we are reasonable people: duplicate charges, billing errors, and genuinely exceptional circumstances are things we will review individually and make right at our discretion.

Membership includes physical materials sent by mail, so you must provide and keep current a valid mailing address in a region we serve. Dearly is currently available across the United States. Materials that have shipped are yours — they do not need to be returned, whether or not you later cancel. If you cancel before a shipment has left us, we will stop fulfillment where reasonably possible. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by the postal service or by an out-of-date address.

The information you share with Dearly — your application, profile details, and mailing address — is used as described in our Privacy Policy. Your address is never shared with the member you write to; letters travel through Dearly's private forwarding process, addressed using your first name and Dearly member number.

Dearly works because members write in good faith. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or send unwanted or inappropriate content to another member.
• Use membership to solicit, advertise, or collect other members' information.
• Misrepresent who you are or why you are here.
• Attempt to learn another member's address or identity without their consent.
• Use Dearly for anything unlawful.

If a member's conduct falls short of this, we may suspend or end their membership. Trust is the whole product.

The Dearly name, this site, and the content we create are the property of Dearly and may not be reproduced without permission. The letters you write remain yours; the letters you receive were written for you.

Dearly provides a curated correspondence membership, but we cannot guarantee any particular relationship, outcome, or timeline, and we are not responsible for the content of letters members write to one another. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dearly's liability for any claim arising from your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be brought in the courts located in Florida. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer protection rights or other rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.

If we update these terms, we will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify members by email before they take effect. Continuing your membership after a change means you accept the updated terms.
